Fred and Eileen was my foster parents. I was a troubled child but they both influenced me to get my grades up and do right. Fred use to sit and joke with me. Man I love his jokes. They both knew my bad days and would just talk me through them. I remember dad going out to the garden(I didn't know much about then) he broke everything down for me and would just fitle around in the garden. It was peaceful. In that house they made me part of their family. We did family dinners, all of us kids got along and hung out, it was what a true family does. I value everything both Fred and Eileen taught me and use it with my kids now. Dad you will truly be missed but never forgotten. I send my condolences to the family. I love you all

I want to extend my condolences. Fred was such an avid cheerleader at the LCS games. If he wasn't at a basketball game, it wasn't truly a game. He was such a nice man. My deepest sympathies to your family. He will be missed.

Sorry to hear Fred passed away. Fred and my dad, Wayne Russell, were great friends with many mutual interests. They worked together on different construction jobs my dad had. They fished together and had many fun times. My husband Mike and I would see Fred at games in Lyme as our grandchildren played for Copenhagen, he always had a smile with a friendly hello, he will be missed by many. Wishing you comfort now, peace soon, and warm memories forever.

I had the pleasure of working with Fred and Eileen for many years when they provided love and guidance to many children as foster parents. At times they even provided that for me as an adult. My thoughts, prayers and love are with Eileen and the entire Lothrop family as they begin to adjust to this tremendous loss. Let the love of those around bring you some peace. Sending prayers, Erin King

Our thoughts and prayers are with your families during the days ahead. Fred provided many years of service to our farm with Surge Dairy systems. He also installed all the electrical service during our expansion. After he retired he continued to stop during the summer months. We had great conversations and discussions during those times. Thank you for sharing Fred over so many years and Eileen thank you being my hairdresser.
