Obituary of Linda M. Kampnich
Linda M. Kampnich, 69, of Co. Rt. 46, passed away Friday, May 10, 2019 at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, NY.
Born in Watertown, NY on May 16, 1949, she was the only and adopted daughter of Augustus and Rose Amedeo Vallalunga. She was a 1967 graduate of Immaculate Heart Central School, Watertown, NY.
On September 2, 1967, she married Joseph A. Kampnich at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Watertown, NY. Joseph is the owner of Kampnich Well Drilling, Evans Mills, NY.
Linda and Joe are advocates of the New York State Right to Life.
She spent her life raising her family and enjoyed baking cakes, cooking and was a collector of Dale Earnhardt, Sr. memrobelia.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Joe; 14 children, Louis Kampnich and wife, Kelly, Theresa, NY, Joanne Kampnich, Theresa, NY, Augustus Kampnich and wife, Shari, Willard, NY, Rosanna Spencer and husband, Larry, Evans Mills, NY, Carrie Hudson and husband, Michael, LaFargeville, NY, Kristen Parker and husband Derick, Three Mile Bay, NY, Erin Dalton and husband, Scott, Evans Mills, NY, Justin Kampnich and wife, Jennifer, Dexter, NY, Clinton Kampnich and wife, Julie, LaFargeville, NY, Kevin Kampnich and wife, Hope, Evans Mills, NY, Zane Kampnich and companion, Stacey Grant, Jacksonville, FL, Richard Kampnich and wife, Carolyn, Philadelphia, NY, Martin Kampnich and companion, Ashley Weaver, Evans Mills, NY, and Flora Kampnich and companion, Charles Price, Watertown, NY; 29 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; twenty brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Stanley and Nadine Kampnich, Natural Bridge, NY, Cheryl and Ronald Hogan, Dexter, NY, Gwen and Bruce Call, Watertown, NY, Vicki and Jack Thompson, Clayton, NY, Christopher and Monica Kampnich, Croghan, NY, Brian and Katrina Kampnich, Watertown, NY, Andrew and Melinda Kampnich, Watertown, NY, Louis "Steve" and Kimberly Kampnich, Watertown, NY, Daniel and Wendy Kampnich, Watertown, NY, and Janella and Wayne Eamer, Watertown, NY; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her parents, her parents-in-law, Louis H. and Joanne Pominville Kampnich and two brothers-in-law, Benjamin Kampnich and Frederick Kampnich passed away previously.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 320 W. Lynde Street, Watertown, NY, with Monsignor Aucoin, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Evans Mills, NY. Family and friends will gather at the Evans Mills Fire Dept., Evans Mills, NY, following services.
Calling hours will be 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Theresa, NY.
