Obituary of Sharon Frickey

ANTWERP

Sharon Doris Frickey, 77, of Depot Street, died Wednesday evening, February 7, 2018 at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, NY.

Born on April 29, 1940 in Glens Falls, NY, she was a daughter of Nelson and Loretta Murray Pincheon and graduated from Glens Falls High School in 1958.

Sharon married Roland J. Frickey on March 31, 1962 in Hialeah, FL.

During employment as a secretary, she worked for the US Navy, US Army and US Air Force throughout her career.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Antwerp and the Antwerp United Methodist Church.

Sharon enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping, ceramics, baking and loved Popsicles. She was also a Blue Ribbon winner at the NYS Fair and Jefferson County Fair for her jelly.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Roland, Sr.; a son Roland, Jr., Antwerp, NY; a daughter, Deborah Graham, Crawfordville, FL; a daughter, Diana Frickey, Raytown, MO; a son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Emily Frickey, Redwood, NY; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Picheon, Stephen Viger and Thomas Viger; a sister, Carol Lee Sipowicz; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her parents and a brother, Jack Pincheon died previously.

Funeral Services will be 4 pm Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Theresa, NY with Rev. Genevieve M. Dox of the First Congregational Church of Antwerp, officiating.

Calling hours will be 2-4 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be 11 am Monday, February 12, 2018 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY 12871, with Rev. Gene Brown of the Thousand Islands Christian Church, Plessis, NY, officiating.
