Gordon F. Jobson, 83 of Cullen Rd., formerly of LaFargeville, NY and St. Petersburg, FL, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at his home.
Born on April 28, 1934 in Escott, Ontario, Canada, he was a son of Fred and Edith Ireland Jobson. He graduated from LaFargeville High School in 1950.
Gordon married Elaine Hotis on April 26, 1951 at the LaFargeville Methodist Parsonage with Rev. Robert Mallabar, officiating.
He was an installer and repairman for NYNEX, formerly the New York Telephone Co., Watertown, NY, retiring after 33 years of service.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Elaine; three children, a daughter and son-in-law, Ginny and Butch Meyle, Port Byron, NY, a son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Gloyd Jobson, Nashville, TN, and a son Todd Jobson, Syracuse, NY; a brother and sister-in-law, Clarence and Shirley Jobson, Watertown, NY; a sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and David Brass, Rodman, NY; a sister-in-law, Polly Jobson, LaFargeville, NY; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
His parents and a brother, Gene Jobson passed away before him.
There will be no calling hours or funeral. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, LaFargeville, NY at the convenience of the family.
