Obituary of Eli B. Hubbard

THERESA Eli B. Hubbard, 61, of Indian River Estates died Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown. Born August 23, 1950 in Central Square, NY, he was the son of the late Winfred and Angelina J. Schepens Hubbard and attended school in Copenhagen. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea and was an infantryman in Vietnam. Mr. Hubbard was employed at Seneca Knitting Mill, Seneca Falls, Rithhoffers Fair Circuit, Whispering Pines, Lawton's Block and Northern Electric all in Watertown. A marriage to Maureen Finley ended in divorce. He married Carol R. Towsley on June 14, 1975. Mr. Hubbard enjoyed fishing, boating and watching television. Surviving besides his wife, Carol is his mother, Angelina Hubbard, Watertown; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Eli, Jr. and Melissa, ME and Winfred II, Theresa; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Michele Hubbard, Syracuse, Tammy and Curtis Smith, Rebecca and Jerry Taylor Jr., Gouverneur; two brothers and their wives, Daniel and Barb, Waterloo and Eddie and Barb, Seneca Falls; two sisters and their husbands, Mary Ann and Jack Greenwood, Copenhagen and Patricia and Charlie Putney, Seneca Falls; nine grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A grandson, Aaron Birmingham and a sister, Mary Ann Hubbard (1) died before him. The funeral will be 1 pm Tuesday at Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Inc., Theresa with Rev. Tom Kornmyer officiating. Burial at Oakwood Cemetery, Theresa will be in the spring. Calling hours are 11 to 1 pm Tuesday prior to the funeral. Donations may be made to Indian River Volunteer Ambulance, Inc., P.O.
