Ervin W. Hamilton, 74, of Silver Street Rd., died Sunday evening, September 17, 2017 at home with his family by his side.
Born on October 17, 1942 in Adams, NY, he was a son of Edward and Esther Roby Hamilton. He attended local schools.
He married Sally M. Furgison at the Theresa Methodist Church on September 8, 1962 and recently celebrated their 55th Anniversary.
Ervin retired after 38 years of work for New York AirBrake, Watertown, NY.
He enjoyed watching sports on television, bowling, fishing, town team softball, spending time with family and friends and camping at Yellow Lake.
Survivors include his wife, Sally; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Lisa and Brian Church, FL, Patricia and John Kingsley, VA; a son Jeffery Hamilton, Theresa, NY; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Edward and June Hamilton, LA, Donald and Bonnie Hamilton, Theresa, NY; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Evelyn Horton, Theresa, NY, Linda Hall, AZ, Peggy and Dale Bauter, Black River, NY, Susan and Robert Hoffman, Theresa, NY; many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephews.
His parents and a niece died before him.
Funeral Services will be 11 am Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Theresa, NY with Pastor David Sheppard, officiating.
Calling hours will be 5-7 pm Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the funeral home.
